about

This music was made collaboratively by White Rainbow (Adam Forkner) and Stag Hare (Garrick Biggs) at Marriage Studio in Portland, Oregon.

Track 1, "SHOOPEY SHOOP MEGA TUFF HOUSE REMIX" is a remix of Track 3 "SHOOPY SHOOP" (track 3 is digital only, not on vinyl).
White Rainbow took the source that was still in the machines immediately after the initial collaborative recording session and made a chugging propulsive mega house remix that, midway through, divulges into fuzzed out ambient guitar blankets, hand percussion drum circle loops and vocal swells before tripping over itself and diffusing into a million shattered pieces of its former self.

Track 2, "DRIFTWOOD FRESH SHELLS/SWELLS", is a collage, where White Rainbow creates a thick multi-layered ocean of chugging trap-drum loops, with Stag Hare embellishing via whispered vocal incantations, vibe-shop wind chime wafts, and dream-time clean guitar billows. Burns as clean as the finest cedar incense with all the windows open after a fresh Autumn rain.

Track 3 "SHOOOPEY SHOOP" is Forkner and Bigg's initial improvised collaborative piece. Washes of hand percussion, samples, chants and echoed guitars blur any distinction in regards to who plays what.

Though people perhaps categorize White Rainbow and Stag Hare as “drone artists”, on this collaborative project they veer toward a similar sense of the hypnotic through propulsive rhythms.

Dig in, boogie hard, trip out.
